Nice little traditional Banks's pub at end of town. The horseshoe-shaped room has leather perimeter seating, with darts in one corner. There are some benches outside on the pavement. Banks's Original on electric pump - the mild was not evident.

A small cottage-styled detached Banks’s pub in white render with a central entrance. It has a front patio area.
The interior is a U-shape around the central serving bar that faces you on entry. The decor is a mix; with a couple of red embossed wallpapered walls, another couple with cream wallpaper on which there is a red patter and there is also an exposed brick wall. The ceiling looked like it was a coffee colour, with a white moulded cornice. The entrance and the passage to the bogs have red and green tiling, though the bogs themselves need a bit of TLC. There is a fireplace, with a stove feature and there is a dart board. There is a TV, which had some general programme on. The walls have some nice Victoriana stuff, as well as old adverts and military ephemera on them. The seating is a mix of red and green leather perimeter benches, with a few settles. The service was fine and the clientele a mainly mature bunch playing cards/dominoes etc.
Beer; usual tap stuff, with Banks’s bitter and MILD on electronic cask pumps. The MILD was very good.
The pub seemed slightly out of place, with a Lidl and McDonalds surrounding it, but I really liked this place and have already been back since!
