The Crown was close to the railway bridge and the first pub in longsight when heading up the A6 from the south.
This pub was a medium sized stand alone pub that looked a lot smarter outside than most pubs on this stretch of road.
Once inside the pub looked like it used to be smartish but it was in need of a spruce up,this pub was a Wilsons tied house and there were no real ales on the bar i had a drink of keg Wilsons bitter and this was a pretty poor drink.
Sadly this pub was pulled down around the late 90s and there is now nothing on its site to this day.
