Alan Winfield left this review about Queen Hotel
The Queen Hotel was a corner pub halfway down alfreton road and on the opposite corner to the Forest Inn.
We used to visit this pub when in the area and it was a decent pub to have a drink in there were two rooms a smartish lounge and a more basic bar.
This pub used to be an Home Ales tied house and there were two real ales on here the bitter and mild were both very nice drinks.
After Home Ales brewery closed down the pub was run by Banks's untill it finally closed down around 2000,it is now a conveniance store and it still has the Banks's signs outside.
