Fairly plain exterior with an interior held in aspic from the mid-60’s. Dark wood, bare boards, exposed brick walls. A bit dim inside and there are some damp issues if my sense of smell is anything to go by. Freezing cold, which is always a bad sign. Items of note included pool, darts, sports TV (competing against MoR muzak). Patio rear garden leading to grass slope with kids play area. Just Doom Bar available (not great, half of it was disposed of outside). Barman was like a Tesco Value Danny Dyer but at least friendly. There’s a decent pub here trying to get out but I wouldn’t be interested in going back until that happens.

Old Blue left this review about The George Inn
Country pub just off the A303. and a good place to stop off if passing. Was yesterday serving London Pride, Ringwood Best and Ringwood Boondoggle (great for a warm afternoon) from hand pump. The bar menu and restaurant menu are quite extensive, though not inexpensive, and the food has always been good when I've eaten here previously. There is a large garden at the back with a children's climbing frame also.
