Been here twice, the first time as a meet-up venue in the spring of 2004 and then about a year later for another meet. It's typical of the Browns format so a fairly upmarket wine bar awaits, with bottled beers and possibly something on draught; not bad for what it is, especially if you want to sit outside and admire the towering skyscrapers.

Well described below, there has been no significant change since JAQPTIO's visit. Still no real ale, the wine selection is dull, they do imaginative cocktails at Happy Hour, staff are charming but otherwise useless, the food is pretty ordinary, though the bouncers were friendly. Not my first choice here, though I might be tempted to a short visit when there is live music on, which tends to be Sundays.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Browns Bar & Brasserie
One of a long line of bars and restaurants in former dockside warehouses, this one features a large ground floor restaurant furnished in a modern style. Smaller bar beneath with more basic decor. Large patio seating area out front (partly covered by umbrellas). No real ale, so I opted for the keg Old Speckled Hen (£3.80) before moving on.
