Rather grand old building that did
the Job as part of a crawl. 2 of 3 real ale taps on.

This appears to be a conversion of a former house in grounds and was heaving on a sunny May evening with a queue for the bar going out of the door (the entrance is at the back of the building: the bar faces). Plenty of seating outside and in, with dining areas either side of the bar, this boasted a four ale line-up of Sharp's Doom Bar, TT Landlord, Butcombe Bitter and Purity UBU along with crafty bottles in the fridge and a couple on keg (I had a Purity Longhorn 'Unfiltered IPA'). Background muzak was funky but a little too loud - a beachside bar this ain't. I'm also not sure whether a wall-length repro of a girls' school year photograph from the 50s/60s is retro or just a little creepy.
