The Steamhouse is a small bar with a few high tables by the entrance and more seating in a raised area to the right next to the small serving counter on the left rear wall. The bar supports a standard premium and craft range of keg, but most were unavailable, including the three Beavertown options. I ended up with something like an Amstel. The television was off whilst some very low background music played that was hardly audible over the chat from the four other customers. The barman was polite and this bar is handily located over the road from the tram station, but far superior and cheaper Spoons is just over the road so not sure why anyone would drink here.

Allegedly opens at 1pm in the week (according to their Facebook page) and indeed there was a chap opening the shutters etc just before 1pm, though come quarter past I found the door to be locked, so not sure what's going on there. Been about three years since I have been and I was looking forward to paying another visit to refresh my memory. Maybe next time!

Apparently owned by the same lot who have the pub of the same name in Urmston. It is, however, not as good. A corner pub opposite Sale tram thingy it is a one roomed affair with a raised area to your right on entering. 3 handpumps on the bar with 2 from Bootleg Brewery being Urban Faox and Fools Gold. The lower part is high tables and stools with the raised area having low tables and chairs. This bit has a glass ceiling with a lighting feature made up of wine glasses. Its a bit trendy but I've been in much worse.
