A Victorian roadside inn which still offers B&B, originally a freehouse, then owned by Star Brewery, it is currently an Arkell's house. It claims to be their smallest pub, quite believable given the small size of its bar. The bar has a single central counter and a couple of snugs making it feel cosy and homely. There is also an even smaller games room with just enough space for a pool table an dartboard. There is a tiny garden at the back. The bar has a large TV screen used to screen news and Sky Sports matches, and there are open fires at both ends. The pub is dog-friendly, though visiting dogs have to get on with the resident ones, there is WIFI and 2 gaming machines; only one of the latter was working. They host regular quiz and bingo evenings. Two ales on, 3B and Moonlight, both in very good condition. The barman was friendly and the locals accepting. A definite for a town crawl, and I'd be happy to stop her any time for a pint.

The Plough is a nice looking black and white pub on the northern edge of Highworth.
This pub is an Arkells tied house and once inside there were two rooms i went in the bar and this was quite a nice comfortable room the other room had a pool table in it.
There were two real ales on here i had a drink of Arkells 3B and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Arkells 2B.
I quite liked this pub.
