Langhams Bar is the bar of the large Langhams Hotel on the seafront, but it does have its own entrance and non-residents are more than welcome. It’s not the most interesting of places as it is decked out with the typical Eastbourne holidaymaker in mind, but there are some black and white prints on the walls of old Hollywood actors and others with a French theme running through them. Only five draught products were available, but wines and some cocktails were also available alongside an extensive coffee liqueur selection. There was some depressing background music including ‘Lady in Red’, which probably explains why I was the only customer early on Sunday evening. The barman didn’t seem very impressed to see me as I think I interrupted his cleaning schedule. There is some seating out the front with nice views of the beach across the road.

This place is probably best left for the guests.
