Alas, long time landlady Kate Hornbuckle handed the keys back to Enterprise Inns in the summer of 2012. No sign of it being likely to reopen in the near future

This is a lovely pub in between Furness Vale and Whaley bridge the pub seemed unaltered but was opened out a bit there were 4 handpumps on the bar i had George Wright Pipe dream and this was a very nice drink and i would have happily stayed for a few more the other beers were Coach House Gunpowder Mild and Old Speckled Hen i really liked this pub it was well worth the walk.

Popular real-ale local. Slightly shabby, smokey and doggy, but comfortable, cosy and friendly. Seperate restaurant.
