I visited the Brit a couple of times at the beginning of the century and can report that it was an estate-like boozer that was mainly populated by the casually employed and feckless of the area. The bar ran along the right hand wall where the usual draught suspects could be purchased and there was a pool table. The rest of the pub was made up by open plan seating.

This was a very basic pub for people with big tempers or big dogs and as I had neither I decided not to become a regular.
