The Wyndham Arms is the only remaining pub in the village of Dinton. Set back slightly from the road, it has parking both to the front and to the rear. The front car park was quite busy when I arrived shortly before the usual weekday afternoon closure period. However, it was starting to empty out and I was a little concerned that I might not get served in time. I needn't have worried.

The front room is carpeted with Chesterfields around a fireplace at one end and a games room with a covered pool table, TV and dartboard at the other. There are various sporting pictures at the games room end and a cabinet with various shields and trophies both in and on it. Despite the TV being off and there being no music, there was a decent atmosphere with a handful of locals sat at the bar finishing their lunchtime pints.

The bar itself has a tiled roof. There are 4 handpulls which were sporting a good selection of Morland Old Speckled Hen, Downton Elderquad, Glastonbury Best Bitter & Caledonian Deuchars. The stout was Belhaven Black and the cider was Weston's Stowford Press. My Glastonbury Best Bitter went down rather nicely.

There appeared to be a dining room off to the rear left. A few people were departing from there, some with balloons from a birthday celebration. I did not get chance to view the large garden at the rear, but there were also a few picnic tables to the front on a narrow terrace.

I thought this was a friendly village local with a good and well-kept ale selection. Glad this one has been saved.

A pleasant roadside pub with a good village feel, built in the 1930s.
The large enclosed pub garden is behind the building, and there is a terrace at the front with new wooden furniture. There is also a limited amount of parking. Inside is a single long bar with a pool table and dart board at one end. There is a 1960s brick fireplace, carpeted floors and a large TV screen which was off when we visited. There is a good range of megakeg lagers plus four ales on draft – Doombar, Cotleigh Harrier, Pitchfork Bullion Bronze and Wyndham Arms Mary’s Muddler (whatever that was)and ciders. The beer was in excellent condition. It’s a really friendly local and I’d be very happy to come back again when passing.
