The pub has been well described by Ray below, I would only add that there was some loud music coming from a TV screen showing the Vintage video channel, or what I think of as modern music from the 1980s. There are six hand pumps with two ciders and four real ales (see photos). I wasn't impressed with my half of Full Mash Wheat Ear, but that may have been that it just wasn't to my taste. The pub might have grown on me, as it has some eccentricities of decor and a little bit of character, but it was dead when I was here mid-afternoon, with just one other customer, and I didn't want to hang around too long in case Tears for Fears came on again.

A well kept pub this one, the interior is traditional in style, but not as it was originally. The pub used to have oak ceiling beams and partitions, but unfortunately, pub companies over the years have slowly taken parts of it away. The sash windows and the lower bar counter are the only remnants left. The bar top disappointingly, had a formica finish. This large pub also has lots of different seating areas and still retains an upright piano in the corner. Five pumps in total, three from Full Mash, which are regulars, one from Dancing Duck and Castle Rock Elsie Mo. We went for Full Mash Warlord and Wheat Ear, prices were very good at £2.40 a pint.

The Crown Inn is situated close to a very busy road junction.
When i first went in this pub it was a Kimberley tied house with Kimberley bitter and mild on the bar.
Once inside the room is now opened out into a single roughly V shaped room with the bar facing, the left side is carpeted and has comfy bench seating and small stools, the right side has a tiled floor and normal tables and chairs, there is a small raised area to the front right, there is a display cabinet to the rear right which has loads of motor bikes in it.
There were five real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Full Mash Wheat ear which was a very nice drink and cheap at £2.30 a pint, the other real ales were Full Mash Warlord,Dancing Duck Abduction,Dancing Duck Dark Drake and Castle Rock Elsie Mo,there was also two real ciders on the bar.
There was a TV to the left showing old music videos.
I thought this was a decent pub to revisit after a very long while.
