Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bull's Head

Traditional village pub, albeit with a much larger, partly opened-out, multi-room interior extending much further back than one might expect from the frontage. Most of the tables are clearly ready for those planning to eat, but not obsessively so. Although modernised, it retains some interesting features under the low ceilings that indicate the age of the building. Disappointingly, just Doom Bar (£4.30) on the three handpumps when I stopped by.

Much the same as Ian's encounter below. We were the only punters at 4pm midweek. Indeed might have been the only punters all day, judging by the effort required to produce a drinkable pint of, of all things, Shepherd Neame Spitfire. What that was doing so far from home I've no idea, but it certainly wasn't doing very well. The alternative was similarly well (or more likely badly) travelled Ringwood Forty Niner. And they didn't have any crisps, let alone sandwiches.

I guess it would be OK if you've got kids to entertain.

Maybe the peeling cask marque signage should have been taken as a warning.

Setup for families, complete with monster childrens activity playground in the beer garden. Smart interior setup for dining but a disappointing menu that moved from "sharing starters" to main courses, with no lunch time sandwiches available.

Three real ales on, served by teenage staff that hadn't been trained properly. My Oakham Citra was a short measure and not in the greatest condition. The first pour of the day.

Two other choices in the village, but I cannot say whether a better lunchtime experience could be had.
