Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Butt of Sherry

Traditional High Street pub with a L-shaped layout of two separate bars / dining areas. Both parts have been refurbished but are still fairly traditional, and oddly are separated by a vertical millstone set between both parts of the central counter (with its counterpart in the floor) as this was never a mill. 6X and Old Speckled Hen (£5.00) available from the two handpumps.

A nice looking pub but could do with a bit of a tidy up, both inside and out. The layout of the interior is such that it appears smaller than it perhaps should be, but that's understandable with such an old building. Not many people in on a late afternoon visit, suspect it's popular for lunchtime food, service was OK, beers were Courage Directors and Best, the latter a bit insipid, £3 a pint. Probably wouldn't rush back.
