Oddly named, for industrial Lanarkshire, this had a nice, friendly atmosphere, with sixties and seventies music playing at a moderate level which didn’t drown out conversations. There are two dart boards and a darts match, against another pub, was taking place on the Friday night I had a pint there. The New Cecil Bar players were decked out in red and black, reflecting the colour scheme of the pub. Despite the apparent darts fixation, the clientele was mixed, both in gender and age terms. A very nice pub.
