Smith and Jones branded drinking barn, large open plan on different levels with a vast bar down the left hand wall with obligatory faux ducting running above.Three very large flatscreens are dominant, and in one corner is an area where you can Book a Booth, although it was shrouded in darkness on my Wednesday evening visit. The muzak was loud, the furniture well worn, but the interior was largely devoid of customers. The food offering was at the super value end of the spectrum with 2 for £6.49 meal deals ,or higher pricing for their Big Eat promotion.
The bar sported six handpumops but only two were working on my trip serving bland GK offerings in Old Golden Hen and Morland Original (£2.20,but this non descript ale needed to be cheap).
It may suit the circuit crawling young drinkers at the weekend (after a lot of pre loading) but for me this was a one off visit purely in the name of research.
