Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Royal Oak

Traditional village pub on the eastern edge of Coal Aston on the road towards Eckington. Partly opened out at some stage to leave a U-shaped layout although the right-hand branch still has a partition between the front and rear sections (and a table-football game can be found in the back part on the other side. All parts attractively furnished and decorated, and an old Tetley lantern above the front door. Genial welcome. Landlord and the very local Derbyshire Blonde from Drone Valley (£4.10) on the pair of handpumps.
