The pub next door to the Apollo music arena. I've no idea what its like when there isn't a band on next door, or even if its open then. It was, and has been every time I've been in, chocker. The first time I was here was to see The Pogues early 2000s and from what I saw lately, it hasn't changed. Obviously due to the fact that it makes most of its money from whoever is going next door, it doesn't really try to be anything other than a 'pint before your band' place. No real ale that I have ever seen but it didn't seem that bad whenever I've been. Then again, its always been that packed I've had to stand outside.

The Aspley Cottage is a nice looking white painted pub that is situated at the side of the apollo theatre.
I thought this would be quite a nice pub inside after seeing it from the outside how wrong could i be,there were two rooms inside i went in the room to the left this room was a complete dump,it was freezing cold as there was no heating on and the room seemed very grotty, this pub used to be a Wilsons tied house and there were no real ales on here i had a drink of keg Wilsons bitter and this was a very poor drink.
The pub was empty on my visit,no doubt it gets very busy when there is a concert on next door.
I hope things have improved here since my visit.
