The Golden Ball was a largish pub that was facing a large open grassed area known as Bulwell woods.
This pub used to be an Home Ales tied house but over the last few years the pub has'nt sold any real ale.
On a visit in 2009 there were only keg beers on so i had a Guinness which was ok.
A nice touch to this pub was the large golden ball on the roof this used to light up at night years ago.
Sadly this pub was demolished early 2011.
