A detached 21st century Brewers Fayre pub and eatery adjacent to a Premier Inn in a retail park on the outskirts of Stafford. The pub has a slight Italian Villa look and is in undressed brick and cream render and has a kid's indoor playhouse at one end. There is a patio.
The interior is an open plan room that is in peppermint green, white and wood panel. Being a Brewers Fayre, it is all for food really and has vases dotted about, as well as old pictures of Stafford. I didn't eat here so i can't comment, but it had the usual 2 for £10 kind of budget meals and the service was fine, with a general clientele. The kid's play area makes it a family pub/eatery really and the place is very tidy. The music was mixed and at a decent level and there was a silent TV, showing Sky Sports News
Beer; tap stuff, with Hobgoblin on handpull. I just had a shandy.
All in all, it is another pretty un-inspiring looking, rather sterile chain pub. This is the modern place, the Shire Horse opposite is more for those that like the fake traditional look. Fine for families that want a dinner, rather than a drinking establishment.
