Requested be closed with reason - Other: Visited last night and there's no conentional drinkingn policy here. If you can get a table you can drink, if you can't you can't, so I really think this place should be marked as closed.

As the White Horse, this pub dates from the mid-15th century, last rebuilt in 1932 beneath a block of flats, formerly Truman’s, the brewery livery stripped when it became the Smoking Goat in 2017.
The previous reviewer will be disappointed to find that there are now no young women disposing of their clothes and galivanting about – for payment – as this is now a rather swish Thai restaurant. Visited last night at nearly 9.00pm and you can drink here in theory, but not at the bar and only at a table, always assuming one’s free. However, the place will prioritise high rolling diners over drinkers, so if you do want to drink here, you’ll need to come late and/or when business is slow; you can’t drink here in any conventional pub/bar sense, essentially, you can only drink when it’s convenient for them, so to all intents and purposes, the place is closed.

This is a "Gentlemens Pub" which is code for a striptease bar. There's no entry fee, but the girls will expect £1 to be put into their pint pot if you're in the main room with the stage and a good looking bunch of girls they are too. There's another smaller room at the back with a pool table. Strangely, there are often women in the pub who aren't performers or any other kind of "for sale". Another unexpected treat is the fact that they sell real ale, usually Tetleys and/or Wadworth 6X, it's usually OK as well. I've called in here a few times with work colleagues on leaving do's etc and it's a decent evening out. Clientele is a mix of regulars and of course "suits" in the early evening anyway. The pub itself is a 5 but the girls are at least 9's. So a 7 it is then.
