Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Vines

A bit of a mixed bag, this, hidden away in a side alley off Sadlergate, with a mostly young crowd in but the place appearing rather old fashioned (verging on staid) in terms of furniture and decor. The music, however, was mixed and loud. Three handpumps on the counter, offering Doom Bar (just £2.50), Sharp's Atlantic and Thundering Molly cider. Actually, not to bad when I arrived, but the lighting levels suddenly dropped at 20:00.

A bit rubbish to be honest. Back street piss pot. Real ales available but I didn't warm to this place at all. However you might like it.
