The Mundy Arms is a roadside pub that is just to the West of Derby and one of the few pubs in the Derby are that has eluded me.
The entrance that looked open on the photo was not open,i had to enter the pub from the car park.
Once inside the bar faces in a long oblong shaped room which runs to the rear, the floor is part tiled and bare boarded, there is tall bench seating opposite the bar for drinkers, the rear area is set for diners and was starting to fill up on my Saturday dinner visit, there are normal tables and chairs in the dining area, there is a separate room to the front left which is down some steps, this room looked quite smart like the rest of the pub does, there looked to be normal tables and chairs down there, this area was set aside for a private function.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Bass which was expensive at £3.50 a pint, but nice enough, the other real ales were GK IPA and Old Speckled Hen.
This is an upmarket pub but it does cater for drinkers.
