The Blue lagoon consists of an upstairs bar and a downstairs sports bar. The upstairs bar is U shaped with seating to the left and steps up to more seating and a pool table that run along the rear windows. Standard draught products are available and during my recent Friday evening visit the lone hand pump that usually draws Harveys Best was off. Advertisements on the walls advise readers of the karaoke that takes place every other Saturday night and the live music and DJs that can be found here some weekends. Various things also go on throughout the week like a cocktail night and a curry night. There was nothing going on during my visit, but there was some background music playing.
Food is available during lunch and early evening periods, but I didn’t notice any menus.
The upstairs bar was reasonably busy with a harmless enough crowd, but the larger sports bar downstairs was empty. This meant that the two pool tables and two dartboards were unused and nobody was watching the Sky Sports on the plasma screens. Out the back are some picnic tables in the beer garden.
Bed and breakfast is available at this pub.

This place had the feel of a real community pub and I would have no problem returning.
