The Crab & Beacon is located at the top of the Atrium Cinema where it is accessible by a flight of stairs and a lift. The interior is surprisingly large with open plan seating up the right where a television and large screen were airing Six Nations rugby to an empty bar. To the left is some booth seating and in the front left are two pool tables and a dartboard. Along the rear wall is an exposed brick serving counter that supports premium keg, and to the left is a food servery area that looked like it would be used for a carvery. The service was polite, and this would be a great place to watch sport if only there were some other customers to generate a bit of atmosphere.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Crow's Nest
Fairly basic bar above the Wetherspoons in The Atrium cinema complex, most likely aimed at the late evening market as it certainly didn't open on a Friday at 11:00 (as stated on What?ub) or 14:00 (as suggested on its own Facebook page). It was open (if almost empty) at 16:00 for anybody not confused about its opening hours... Apart from noting that it has a couple of pool tables and a food servery that presumably can be used for special events, there is little else to say. No real ale of course, so made do with a quick Maltsmith's IPA (£2.20, half) before swiftly moving on.
