Hotel and pub, the signage is careful to point out, but having my beer brought to my table and having to send the young server back to top it up feels like a hotel, unless there's been a pandemic that no one told me about. And my pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord was pretty ordinary (NBSS 2.5 at best, and £4.90). It would have been quite pleasant here without the dreadful pop music on the speakers and the chip shop smell of the fried lunches. Service was friendly and the building is delightful, but if this was any other public space, like a train for example, I'd have been asking someone if they could please use headphones.

This is a decent enough pub that does accomodation.
The pub was fairly smart inside and there were four real ales on the bar i had a drink of Shepherd Neame Early Bird and this was very nice the other beers were taylor Landlord,Pedigree and Tetley bitter all these were handpumped and not straight from the cask.

Great range of ales....6 and they were all available straight from the cask. Landlord, Old Hooky etc etc.
The food looked great value and the place was busy and it had a fantastic atmosphere. They also have bed and breakfast rooms. The rooms looked really clean and presented to a high finish.
