Large street corner pub in a God-forsaken area and which featured in the Good Beer Guide, as recently as 2024. Opening times appear to be sporadic. WhatPub lists the pub as opening from 7pm on a Saturday. We took a chance and headed there mid afternoon only to find it closed. A quick call to the landlord revealed that he wouldn't be opening at all that day.

With such uncertainty, I doubt I'd bother trying to visit another time until either the nearby Whalebone re-opens or the opening times become a little more fixed. At present, there's nothing else in this area to justify taking the gamble of a re-visit.
