THE grand opening of the newly-converted Kendal Bowman pub to provide supported housing for vulnerable young people will take place on Wednesday.
The historic hostelery, purchased by Fairoak Housing Association, has now been transformed into seven self-contained apartments for local people with learning and other disabilities.

CLOSED Kendal pub that shut it's doors in 2006, due to the large amount of nearby pubs and the declining pub trade.An application has been lodged to transform the pub into 2 shops and 12 flats.
