An impressive-looking pub but I was slightly disappointed as it seems to be totally focussed on the restaurant trade. There is one table facing the small bar, otherwise everything seems laid up for dining in the three or so connected rooms and the staff seemed totally focussed on diners. The interior fittings and decoration do not quite seem to suit the aged structure of the building (mind the ceiling on the way to the toilets!). Outside there are tables by the roadside. A row of six or so handpumps only had a couple in use with several clips reversed - mainly Yorkshire beers but with the odd visitor such as Deuchars.

Very nice- welcoming and high class villiage pub, the food is lovely

This newly resurbished pub is welcoming and warm however the prices are a bit steep for a village pub.
