A dining destination with a coach parked outside having disgorged 40 or more passengers into the dining extension at the back. This is also where the bar can be found, while the two front rooms are relatively publike. My half of Rudgate Summer Supping 3.6% was very good (NBSS 4, £4.60/pint). I took my beer onto the decking in front. This is what cycling to the pub is all about.

After a period of closure, The Orchard Inn has reopened as Plum & Partridge.

An excellent pub, now called The Orchard Inn. Very friendly, really good food (and grand portions) and very reasonable prices. Well worth negotiating the (current) diversion. There are some lovely circular walks from the pub, too. We will be back soon with friends.
