This Spoons is a very smart building externally and has a rambling inside layout. Disappointingly there were only three guest ales available and they were all bitters, so a bit poor compared to most branches.
It was very busy at the time of my mid week lunch time visit, but the staff were efficient at clearing plates away etc.
I might give it another go when next in Leek but I'd probably be tempted to try a few other places first.

The Green Dragon is a sprawling Wetherspoons that reminded me of the Waterhouse in Manchester in that it was the last pub of the day and I spent at least two minutes walking around the many small seating areas looking for the bar. Two duplicate banks of five hand pumps sit on the bar, the usual three were available alongside GK Old Speckled Hen and Hook Norton’s Old Hooky.

Attractive old pub which makes a pretty decent Spoons. I failed to note the beer range but I do know that my pint of Pheonix brewery Boss Man's brew was in good shape.
