Strongers . left this review about The Winston
The Winston is a Holts pub with a lounge bar to the left and a public bar to the right. The lounge bar is comfortable with banquettes and central tables. Up on the wall is a jukebox that was playing some background music. The right hand public bar has a dartboard and one of the televisions was playing an 80s music channel. More televisions are located throughout for airing live football on BT Sport. The bar supports three handpumps, 2x Holts Bitter and one unused, and the usual Holts keg. Some of the punters were way too drunk for the time of day and the atmosphere was a bit spiky because the barman had had enough. I don’t plan to visit again.

a classic two sided Holts estate pub with friendly estate clientele in the middle of Salford. well worth a visit if you’re changing trains at Salford Crescent as it is just about the nearest pub to there. Holts Bitter at better value than anywhere in central Manchester and perfectly kept.

The Winston is a 70s built estate pub that is in the pendleton area of Salford.
Once inside there area two rooms with a smart and comfortable lounge and a decent bar i had a drink in the bar which had bench seating and a pool table.
This pub is a Joseph Holts tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Holts bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Holts mild.
I thought this was a nice pub to have a few drinks in.
