Called in again on Saturday and they now have two handpumps. Sadly they were selling the totally unimaginitive Pedigree and Jennings Cumberland. Neither of those beers will make any sort of mark in a beer city like Derby. I had a pint of Guinness!

A real Irish bar without all the gimmickry that comes with an O’Neills etc. Two level bar with wooden floors, there are a few Irish signs etc but nothing too garish. Plenty of flowers and plants around the place, it’s a bit of a haven of calm in the city centre, hidden up an alley next to St Peter’s church. The jukebox plays a wide selection of good stuff, not just Irish music. No real ale, but it’s a very friendly place to come for a decent pint of the black stuff.
