Danny O'Revey left this review about Kongs
Kongs: Re opened bar, sparse inside, stripped back to the concrete and the fittings are plywood. Designed as a retro gaming bar, there are various arcade machines as well as ping pong. There are probably not enough machines to make it worth a special visit. Huge area inside that would take some filling. Although central (you can hear the trains leaving New Street from the balcony) it feels isolated, with the tram works currently making it a bit of a back street without much passing trade (the adj roads are now really a one way system for the Megabuses). The is a draft craft ale list and bottles (but carries the usual high price tap for craft bars). Also Burgers from Burger Theory.
Better than it was as the anonymous Chameleon but not really anything special.
02/10/2010 Chameleon: Formally Henry's wine bar, now reopened. Its marketed as an eatery/cafe/bar and it is probably a mixture of each - its a large space so has room to be.
There is a long bar opposite of where you walk in and the rest of the space given over to tables, with s raised area in the middle, which appears to be the main eating part.
Lots of square tables with chairs around, high and low, and there is a lot of glass, mood lighting and a wooden laminent floor. There is an outside area on Hill Street.
Its very modern but nothing spectacular.
One real ale - Deuchars IPA - of rather average quality, £3 a pint

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Chameleon
Shiny modern bar / restaurant, with a variety of seating areas on various levels. Loud piped music, with a DJ booth for various events advertised. Small front terrace under a colonnade if you would rather watch the traffic go by. A solitary handpump can be found at the far end of the counter, but there was some doubt amongst the bar staff as to whether it was actually on. However, it was pulled through several times, tested by staff and a tasting offered before sale with a drinkable pint of Greene King Brasilia! (£3.70) resulting.

Soup Dragon left this review about Chameleon
A self-styled restaurant and bar, with its own patio (off-street). It is a modern, late 20th century building, in white and glass and, as Danny says, i really remember visiting this place when it was Henry's Wine Bar. The interior has a restaurant area off to the left on entry, and a bar area to the right. A large curving serving bar faces and tiered raised area in the middle - populated, not surprisingly, by sofas, confy chairs etc. The decor is white, with some grey it seemed. Mirrors and glitter balls seemed to be the order of the day - and i didn't see any pictures. The place is lit by a red neon glow, giving me that genuine Amsterdam experience. The place was certainly busy, with a mixed clientele, but sadly, i had written most of this review before i noticed that the one real ale was not on and the rest of the stuff was the usual tap, with Peroni and Amstel. I had had enough lager already, so i simply left - therefore i cant comment on quality or service. Not really my kind of place, but it seems popular at what it does.
