Strongers . left this review about The Jam Tree
The Jam Tree has been renamed Underbrook and remains an upmarket gastro pub that sits well in this area that is dripping in moola. The interior is open plan with a bar on the right wall and seating throughout. The Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen clips on the two hand pumps were both reversed so there was no real ale during my visit on Friday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. I decided to try a half of Blue Moon (~£2.50) which was sitting in amongst some standard draught and I was actually pleasantly surprised as it went down a treat. Food is available and although I didn’t spot a menu I did note that a burger and a pint costs £10 during lunch periods. I think that this place prides itself on its burgers which are also available two for one on Sunday evenings. There is also a drink deal on Monday evenings when bottles of wine are half price.
The toilets are located downstairs so my pee break gave me the opportunity to pop my head into the advertised cellar bar which is available for private hire. I found a large table surrounded by seating that was set for dining.
There was some background music playing during my visit and the plasma screen was off. This isn’t the sort of place that would put up with football fans so there is no Sky Sports.
I found this to be a pleasant enough gastro pub for those that like that sort of thing. I’ll not be rushing back to this area for a beer again so I cannot see a revisit anytime soon.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Jam Tree
Formerly known as the Priory (House), this upmarket backstreet pub is located within 5 minutes walk of Kensington Olympia station and adjacent exhibition centre (but you would really have to know it was there to find it). Very much at the restaurant end of the gastro-pub scale, with all the tables reserved and laid up for diners on a Friday night - leaving the high chairs at the copper-topped bar and some very chilly outside seating for those just wanting a drink. No handpumps unfortunately, but there were bottles of GKIPA, OSH and St Edmunds (at a very hefty £4.00 a go). Overall, it is quite well done if you like that kind of thing, but if you are not eating then don't expect a particular welcome.
