peter ashworth left this review about The Paganini Inn
CLOSED Blackburn pub that used to be called The Joiners Arms. The name changed after the celebrated Italian violinist Nicolo Paganin(The Jimi Hendrix of his time) stayed at the Inn in September 1833, after playing at the nearby Town Theatre amid his gruelling six year European tour.It is rumoured that when the unfortunate musician returned to his bedroom for the night he found his couch occupied by a noxious species of vermin that was only too common in this insalubrious locality.I read somewere of a quote saying "Only ever had one drink in here way back in 1833,they had some eccentric Italian fiddle player doing a turn to be honest he was doing my head in, so I never came back again"
