CLOSED Burnley pub that dates back to 1865,which was very convenient for the railway station. A remarkable incident occurred in 1930 when the first of several coal wagons crashed through the buffers at the central station and went straight through the pubs gable end demolishing the wash house and part of the cellar.The pub finally closed it's doors in 1997.
