Yet another re-launch. First time I’ve been since the Chronicles days and indeed apart from a lick of paint and a bit of blandization, things in the underground bar are pretty much as they were back in the day. Best described as a ‘chilled out middle managers venue’. No ale of course, though a fairly leftfield keg selection and we went for Youngs Stout and Charlie Wells IPA. Of course, we were fleeced for it but exclusivity doesn’t come cheap, eh?

It's now back as Chronicles, refitted and has a downstairs bar again.

After a brief spell as a wine bar, this is now a restaurant selling seafood.

Formerly a tiny subterranean bar and (bigger) restaurant which took some finding. No ale to be had, sadly, but could've be interesting for a bit of upmarket dinner with the missus, perhaps. It didn't serve much of a function beyond that. The times I'd been in, it had been deserted too.
