Once home to the Golden Valley Brewery, this roadside pub doesn't have too much going for it on the real ale front these days. Wye Valley HPA & Bitter was the choice.
Nevertheless, it did seem to be popular with the locals, with most congregating around the bar drinking. A few were having Sunday lunch.
The carpeted room is sub-divided by pillars. Service was friendly and professional. There is a car park at the rear.

We regularly visit this pub for Sunday lunch, but today will be the last time. My mother-in-law booked a table in the restaurant for 1pm today, three days earlier, and was told that it would be busy as there was a Christening party on, but it would be alright. When we arrived, they denied all knowledge of it and we were not able to eat. When we had been before, if you like roast dinners there was a good choice, and the price was very reasonable. Alas, this will be our last visit.
