Community-owned pub with what I think was an empty dining room to the left and a bar to the right. I suspect the dining room may only be used during peak periods, as locals were preferring to eat in the bar. Dried hops above the bar and on one of the beams create a nice feel. Another beam had military shields, whilst a fireplace contained a wood burner.

At the bar, I was served by two friendly and welcoming barmaids. Wye Valley HPA & Butty Bach are the regular beers. The guest beer was Hop Shed Pale. A 4th handpull was unclipped. Keg ciders were Thatcher's Blood Orange, Apple & Blackcurrant & Spiced Apple & Robinson's Flagon. Similar to the last poster, I too took a picture of one of the pumpclips. One guy sat at the end of the bar looked at me as if I was from another planet!

The pub was fairly quiet when I first arrived. But it soon filled up. Children are welcome. The pub is listed in the latest Good Beer Guide. My Hop Shed Pale was ok, but nothing particularly special.

It was quiet here at the time of my mid-afternoon refreshment stop on my way by bike from Hereford to Kington via most of the villages in between. The notice on entering "no food, no cards until further notice" may have put off some prospective customers, but wanting only a beer and being possessed of coin, I made my way to the bar. A decent selection of beer on the three hand pumps (see photo - staff and customer both amused at my hobby) and my half of Goffs Lancer saw me on my way.
