The River Cottage sits across from the High Street using the old pedestrian bridge. This is what is called a Free House meaning it is not tied to a single brewery. So it can change brewers at will. There is a pub quiz & karaoke on a Thursday at 8:30pm till late with a £30.00 for the quiz winner. There is also karaoke on a Saturday & Sunday at 8pm till late. There is a beer garden at the rear of the pub with great views of the river Ayr. There is food available but it is round the corner from the main pub building and upstairs.
