The Crown and Mitre is a stone built stand alone pub that is quite close to the main Sheffield to Manchester rail line.
The pub is about a half a mile from the village of Chinley and is in a little area called New Smithy.
Once inside i only noticed one room and this was quite smart and comfortable, there may have been other rooms but i did'nt look, this pub is a Robinsons tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Robinsons bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Robinsons mild.
This was a decent enough pub to have a few drinks in.
