This Grade II listed building was a former Thwaites house, which was built in 1765 and is the oldest pub still standing in Blackburn. The accual King that the pub represents is George the third. It had been unoccupied for a number of years and was gutted by a fire, but has now been restored and is used as offices.I used to call in here in the early 70's after completing the Barbary Coast pub crawl.
