The Town's micro pub. My experience of micros tends to have them offering drinks you cannot get in mainstream pubs - either mad keg craft, Belgium or German bottles and so on. This is "just" a small pub - offering traditional cask and regular keg that you would find anywhere.
The beer condition (Moorhouses Witches Cauldron) was excellent but to be fair, I didnt have a bad pint anywhere in Yorkshire over three days.
Nicely filling up with a tea time crowd and friendly staff. Worth investigating

This bar has changed hands since my visit nearly seven years ago, now being run by a young man who certainly knows how to keep his beer. My half of Moorhouses Pride of Pendle was as good as I have had of this beer; others available were Goose Eye Chinook (which was also on seven years ago, so maybe it's a fixture) and Wishbone Blonde. I was the first customer of the day at just after 3pm, so the owner was happy to chat. This one is worth a look in for the beer quality.

A long thin bar, but probably not a micropub as there’s a triple keg font, a Guinness wobbler, wines and spirits as well as the three pulls, locals from Goose Eye and York, with a Wadworth special on the third. Has a decent local vibe with bantering locals and is GBG2020 listed. Modern light wood furnishings and mercifully little exposed brick, there’s half a dozen screens, only one was on and that on a music channel when I was in. It does have later opening during the week than the other pubs etc.
