Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Pavilion
Substantial seafront Thorley Taverns pub / restaurant at the harbour end of Viking Bay, with a busy beer garden at beach level and the various bars, dining and terrace areas located up the flights of steps. Also retains a small theatre / function room that is used as a venue for folk festival concerts and other events. Refurbished in 1999, but now looking a bit tired again, but a reasonable spot if you are lucky enough to get fine weather. Usually has several Gadds beers on handpump, but this time I went for the splendid Summer's Day (£3.80) on gravity from an outdoors pop-up bar.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Pavilion
We entered here via a short alleyway off Harbour St. The interior entrance lobby was quite hotel like, which led down into a huge ballroom, which is used for various events such as shows and music gigs.
The main bar area on the left, which overlooks the harbour, looked to have been recently refurbished. The bar area was situated along the rear wall and was a decent size. All the timber around the bar area was finished in oak, the counter top was a coffee coloured marble and coloured terrazzo tiles finished the floor area around the bar perimeter.
Four handpumps with two Master Brew and two Whitstable Pale, we went for the Whitstable which was fine. There was also a sun terrace adjacent to the bar and lounge area.
