A deceptively large Slug which, due to its position on a hill, is entered at ground level off a busy shopping street but whose rear overlooks The Square and the adjacent park and sits above neigbouring businesses. The bar is L-shaped, the door being at one end and the long leg forming the rear seating area. There are gaming machines and TV screens, and the WiFI works. The staff are young and inexperienced but try hard and are pleasant. Only one ale on, Doombar, but it was in good condition, while the food continues to meet the chain's low standards. One of the better Slugs.
