Mid-market place over a couple of levels with a sightly disappointing greyish green paint job (COVD paintbrush, I assume). Less disappointing is the drink offering, four interesting cask and three ciders. Bass is served from pump, gravity and available jugged. No complaints with mine (NBSS 3.5) and it was clearly shifting, served by a polite barmaid whose math skills left a bit to be desired. To the rear is a fairly basic patio with an amusing Spice Girls-inspired sign at the exit regarding the fact it exits onto a main road (see photo). Nice honest pub; mildly surprised this one isn’t Guided by the local CAMRA wallahs. 7.5

A good looking roadside inn that has been painted white without and grey within. Although the interior is very smart, and has obviously had a lot of money spent on it, I found it cold and soulless. Everything is of good quality and, who knows, probably impeccable taste too, but it just didn't float my boat (sorry). It didn't help to have some rather annoying pop music playing on the sound system. There were four hand pumps, and the beer, which was served without a sparkler (hooray!) was in top condition.

Superb pub doing great food. Can't think why no one has reviewed it. The Peddie is wonderful.
