Formerly known as “The Courtyard,” this is a modern version of a traditional pub with fake wood panelling and walls hung with photographs of town streetscapes and various local worthies from the past. Food is available in the bar and there is a small beer garden at the front, although it faces on to a busy main road. Not cheap, at £3.00 for a pint of Guinness, but an extremely popular and pleasant pub.
