Called into this pub as one of the three near to our caravan site, and found a clean tidy pub/restaurant just off the main road between Buxton and Leek with a large car park and brilliant views of the Roaches hills. Coming in from the car park there is a lovely small room with a pool table and dart board and even a small section of the bar servicing the room. The main room has a large bar area and serves food from a good menu. Sunday lunches were being served while we were there, but we were able to get a table just for drinking without a problem. Beer was good and reasonable, and we chose Wychwood Hobgoblin and Cross Bay Hurricane. At the moment it opens at 6pm weekdays and 12 Saturday and Sunday.
